La Marina is a small coastal village, north of Torrevieja and south of Santa Pola. The village itself has a good selection of shops, bars, banks and restaurants.

There is also a large urbanisation, ‘Urbanizacion La Marina’ which is situated a few kilometres from the coast where you can enjoy a spot of retail therapy and be spoilt for choice for places to eat and drink.  La Marina is well established and has a lot to offer its residents in the way of entertainment.

The beautiful Blue Flag golden sandy beach at La Marina stretches for about 17 kilometres from Santa Pola to Torrevieja.

There are plenty of beach and sport activities to be enjoyed. Temperatures during the summer can get up into the 40s but for the rest of the year there is a mild, pleasant climate. Temperatures in winter rarely fall below 5 degrees, and it is usually 15-20 degrees around Christmas time, making it the ideal location to enjoy an outdoor lifestyle all year round.

Venture further inland and you can climb the mountains and enjoy the beautiful countryside and the views out to sea.

La Marina holds a market in the centre of town every Thursday. There is also a Sunday market. For bigger markets, head to Campo de Guardamar and Santa Pola. Here you can purchase locally grown fruit and vegetables and also crafts, clothes leather goods and shoes made at traditional workshops

Murcia San Javier airport is around a 45 minute drive, Alicante airport is just 25 minutes away on the N332 coast road. White Villas In Spain has a good selection of villas and apartments in La Marina – perfectly located to make the most of all the beautiful region of Alicante has to offer.
