There is also a major reconstruction in the Spanish School system going on at the moment and changes are expected in the near future.

Castelar College

Castelar College, is a private, fee paying International school located in San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia, south east Spain. Students follow an International curriculum, combining objectives from the British, American and Spanish national curricula. Spanish language and Social studies are taught through Spanish while all others are taught through English. Teachers are of British/Irish and Spanish nationality respectively.

Caxton College (Valencia)

Caxton College is a private mixed British school, founded in 1987 thanks to the initiative of a Valencian family. Currently, the school has children from 2 to 18 years old. El Plantio International School (Valencia)

El Plantio International School is situated on the outskirts of Valencia, in the residential area of El Plantio, near the village of La Cañada. El Plantio is a privately owned, co-educational British school catering for pupils from Nursery (aged 3-4 years) to Year 13 (aged 17-18years). The school is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain and is officially recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.

English School Los Olivos (Valencia)

English School Los Olivos was founded in 1976 as a bi-lingual nursery school by a group of Spanish and English-speaking teachers. Now it is a British school, for Spanish and non-Spanish children, from the ages of 3 to 16. The school is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS).

Located in the White Coast it offers an alternative to the conventional schools for foreigners and has an adapted formative task to the national curriculum for the end of the infantile cycle to be able to choose an English or Spanish education.

Newton College (Elche-Alicante)

Newton College is a co-educational British school with bilingual teaching (English/Spanish). Established in 1991, the school is independent, not subsidized and is tolerant of all religions. The college has been innovative since its founding and was one of the first in the area to introduce bilingual English/Spanish teaching.

Sierra Bernia School(Alicante)

Sierra Bernia School is privately owned coeducational day school offering British education from 3 to 18 years to pupils of all nationalities. The American School of Valencia (Valencia)

The American School of Valencia is a Pre-Kindergarten - 12th Grade co-educational, non-profit, parent owned school offering American style education to children of the local and international communities of Valencia. The British School Alzira (Valencia)

The British School Alzira was opened in 1997 and at present caters for pupils from eighteen months to ten years old. By the year 2010 the school will be offering a British education to pupils from pre ? nursery to eighteen years old. Fully authorised by the appropiate British and Spanish ministries, the school offers a full British Curriculum to all pupils. B.S.A is situated between Alzira and Tavernes where the mountains make a magnificient backdrop to the four storey school building.

The European School of Alicante (Alicante)

A new school which opened in 2002 providing Nursery and Primary education with the new Secondary department due to open in September 2003. pupils can be enroled into one of for language sections for their education, either English, Spanish, French or German. The European Schools are official educational establishments controlled jointly by the governments of the Member States of the European Union. In all these countries they are legally regarded as public institutions.

The Lady Elizabeth School(Javea)

The Lady Elizabeth School is an Independent Coeducational Day School for pupils from 3 - 18 years. Founded in 1987, the school opened its doors at Parque Esplendido, Costa Nova with just fourteen pupils. Due to rapid expansion the school moved into larger premises in Casco San Juan near the town centre of Javea.

Xabia International College (Javea)

Xàbia International College is an international co-educational school situated in a pleasant area of Javea and very close to sea and all amenities. Fully qualified and experienced staff guide pupils through from nursery to IGCSE and then 'A2' levels. The college is a recognized centre for Cambridge and London (Edexcel) Examination Boards. Examination students are able to choose from a wide range of IGCSE and 'A2' level subjects.
